Lordy, I could do that forever! It’s interesting to see what happens when you put in something like Beethoven – it brings up other classicals but also modern equivilents.
Yeah, it’s all done by folks inputting their favorite artists, and then telling the program what others are similar. There is some noise from folks who are trying to intentionally trick the system. For instance, if you put in “Artie Shaw”, you get “Gwar”! That’s about as far from Artie Shaw as you can get.
