Now here is a refreshing concept. Co-Motion Cycles of Eugene, OR is building a bike for riders 300 pounds and up. It is rugged as all get-up. It was prototyped by Rivendell so you know it’s good quality. It’s gonna be about $3000 which is kinda steep. But as Chris Hoffer, who rode the prototype and dropped from 422 to 321 pounds on it, points out, this is a lot less than his $48,000 hospital stay for a heart attack. If health insurers gave these out instead of electric buggies I think we’d be getting someplace.
