Bertie died last night in his sleep. Over the last two weeks he had been getting weaker and weaker, unable to support his little body under it’s own weight. He had multiple fractures along his back from a fall he had a year and a half ago, and that caused him to fall often. <\/p>\n

Bertie was 3 1\/2 years old. I got him almost 3 years ago to the day. <\/p>\n

He is survived by Mao the cat, who would often take Bertie on adventures with him in the outside world. Bertie was our ray of sunshine in the dreary Seattle winter. He will be missed.
