The snow that socked us in two weeks ago is almost a distant memory, as my snowman disintegrates into pine needles and grass. Ahh, the great circle of life. I actually never finished the snowman, as my power was knocked out moments before I was going to start the midsection — and I ran to light candles and blink around the inky dark of our living room.

\nAnyway, the snowman’s misshapen remains reminds me of this song that we used to hear at home for Christmas. It was a Gene Autry tune. The chorus was a group of kids singing “Where did my snow man, where did my snow man, where did my snow man go?” And in the middle of one of the “where did my snow man’s” Gene would pop out in a cowboy twang and tell the kids “Now there is no maaannnn”. Just a simple song but Heidi and I would always crack up over it.
