Since I last posted a few developments have occured in my life. Kei has gotten a job at IEH, inc., a biotech company in lake forest park, wa. Congratulations, Kei!

Kei and I have started the South Beach Diet together. This means no alcohol for 2 weeks, low carbs. The hardest part of this diet (and it is my first diet ever) has not been hunger pangs, but food boredom. There seems like only so much you can do without carbs. Well, I should see the results on my belt notches fairly soon, and it is only 2 weeks, right?

Our development team also met down in Portland from Monday through Thursday. My boss, Philip, established global direction for our team, we did some SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis, and had a series of collaborative meetings to establish a plan for the next year. This was a great excercise to get 15 people on the same page of what high level organizational goals are, to which we are going to break out into task forces to establish what the plan looks like. My boss is a great facilitator and these were a success.
