Accepted a job at SolutionsIQ
There are two kinds of people in this world. The employed and the unemployed. The employed wish they had more time, and the unemployed wish they had a job. Unless your The Dude of course, as in, “The Dude abides.” (Speaking of his dudeness, the Lebowski fest is occuring right now if you’re into bowling,…

Sailin’ on Saturday
I spent this morning sailing on Puget Sound. I wrote about it here. In other news, Friday was my last day of work. We had a bunch of the developers, those laid off and those staying on, come to Seattle for meetings and one last get-together. It was fun to see them, and really a…

Work from home, make $3000 a week
I was sucked in to an hour long pyramid scheme pitch at Tully’s. Don’t get me wrong, the guy was nice and all. But I thought he was starting a company and needed someone to manage his development team, or his eCommerce site. Turns out it was a pitch to work from home to sell…

Pierson Method
The job hunt is picking up. I’ve posted my resume and am getting responses from Excell data and a few other recruiters. These are positions primarily at Microsoft. Footprints in the snow
Footprints in the snow Originally uploaded by meherenow. Seattle was dusted with a couple of inches of snow today. The photo to the right shows Kei’s footprints leading to the bus stop. Roads are very icy today. Luckily I only need to walk a mile to work. Otherwise I’d need to stay home with a…

Cool new mac stuff
Apple releases the iPhone, iTV, and other cool stuff. I must say that phone is really impressive. It has an accelerometer(!) that detects if the phone is in landscape and portrait mode…and no buttons, save an off button. Unfortunately, they don’t sell it unlocked. You must sign over your first born to Sin-gular in order…

Shabu Shabu
Operation veg drop Originally uploaded by meherenow. Kei and I took Jordan out for Shabu Shabu. Shabu Shabu is a dinner where you are forced to cook your own food. It’s called shabu shabu, because of the sound your flesh makes when you get too close to the fire cone emanating from the pot.
